Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup water
  2. 1/2 cup 2% organic milk (or soy) milk
  3. 1/4 cup raw almonds
  4. 1 scoop protein powder
  5. 1/4 cup tofu
  6. 2 tbsp quinoa (rinsed)
  7. 1/2 ripe banana or 4 strawberries
  8. 1/4 cup spinach
  9. 1 tbsp flax oil, or flax/hemp/chia seeds
  10. 4 ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into container in order listed. Replace lid. Start Vitamix on 1, then slowly turn dial up to 10, then high. Blend for 45-60 seconds. Serve immediately.
Notes
  1. Given the variations in the different milks and protein powders, it's hard to pinpoint the exact amount of protein in this smoothie. However, it's a lot. If you're eating a balanced diet, you probably won't need this much protein on a daily basis. But once or twice a week, vegetarians/vegans won't hurt from the extra boost.
